Sad condition of Greek schools
Population of Greeks in Turkey decreased to 2500 and the lowest number of graduates in recent years has seen in Greek community's schools. 19 students are graduated from 3 schools; while this causes concerns, RUMVADER chair Andonis Parizyanos, Zoğrafyan High School Principal Yannis Demircioğlu and the former representative of Minority Foundations Laki Vingas stated that positive discrimination is needed.

“Lepsius believed that 1915 would cause a moral disaster also for the Germans”
Works of German theologian Lepsius, who sent reports to German politicians for warning them during the Armenian Genocide, revealed the fact that German officials had known the massacres but they hadn't done anything for preventing them. Director of Lepsius House Rolf Hosfeld talked about the influence of Lepsius' works on German society's current recognition and Germany's responsibility in the Armenian Genocide.

Council of State demands plea from Prime Minister's Office about Sur
The objection against the urgent expropriation in Sur filed by Diyarbakir Bar Association Deputy Chair Ahmet Özmen is taken in the scope of urgent trial procedure by Chamber 6 of the Council of State. AKP-initiated constitutional amendment for changing the Article 83 on the immunity of MPs is supported by 348 lawmakers in the 550-seat Turkish parliament. Second round of voting will be held on Friday.

101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was commemorated with Aurora Prize, which is one of the most innovative events of the year and named after Aurora Mardiganian, a genocide survivor who witnessed the killing of her relatives. The winner of the prize that was granted for the first time is Marguerite Barankitse (Maggy), who saved hundreds of orphans' lives during the civil war in Burundi.
