Recusation in Dink case

Public officials who are responsible for Hrant Dink's murder are started to be heard. The court will decide suspect Yılmaz Angın's demand of recusation.

Arrested suspects Ramazan Akyürek, Ali Fuat Yılmazer, Muhittin Zenit, Ercan Demir, Özkan Mumcu and Yasin Hayal attended the hearing in İstanbul 14th High Penal Court. Suspects Tamer Bülent Demirel, Osman Gülbel, Ali Poyraz and Hamdi Egebatan, who stay in various prisons for different crimes, attended the hearing through video call.

Cerrah and Güler in the dock

Suspects Celalettin Cerrah, Ahmet İlhan Güler, Reşat Altay, Faruk Sarı, Hasan Durmuşoğlu, Sabri Uzun, Onur Karakaya, Şükrü Yıldız, Mehmet Ayhan, Erhan Tuncel and Osman Hayal, who are being tried without arrest, were also present at the hearing. Engin Dinç presented an excuse to the court and haven't came to the hearing.

Dink family isn't there

Dink family decided not to attend the hearings for protesting the attitudes towards them during the previous sessions. So, they weren't present at these hearings too.

Many lawyers, including Hakan Bakırcıoğlu, Sebu Aslangil and Bahri Belen, represent Dink family in the hearing.

Fugitive Ahmet İskender

After the Supreme Court reversed the decision of the court which tried the main case, a warrant was issued against Ahmet İskender. The court is informed that he is still missing.

Sabri Uzun's statement, which he provided in Ankara before, was read in the court.

The court asked Passport Office if they have recieved a report about Hrant Dink from Istanbul Intelligence Branch. Intelligence Branch sent the document which reads that Hrant Dink is one of their targets. The Branch also provided the note that they sent to Passport Office saying they can issue a passport for Hrant Dink.
