We are Deni and Herman. I
am Herman and I am writing this article because it is the anniversary
of Hrant Dink's death. If you don't know the date, he passed away on
January 19, 2007. Dink was shot to death in Şişli. I was 3 years
old back then and I learned about it 3 years ago. I saw it on the
news. When I see the commemoration events, I feel sorry thinking that
this man is not with us anymore. People around me feel the same. They
say, “He was a good man.” When I read about this murder, I cannot
help to think why. Hrant Dink was managing Tuzla Armenian Children's
Camp where orphan and poor children were raised. After 21 years, the
state confiscated it.
Writing for Agos makes me feel like I am honoring his memory.

Hi, I am Deni. Hrant Dink was a great journalist. I have nothing to say to those who don't like him, but writing for his newspaper is a honor for me. I wish everybody could be like him; not racist, but socialist. I feel sorry that we don't live in a society like that.

We listened to the speech of Hrant Dink that he gave after a lawsuit was filed against him. After that, we listened to the presentation that our friends made and “Sari Gelin” song.
