İdris Baluken arrested again
Released on January 30, HDP Diyarbakir MP İdris Baluken was detained in Ankara yesterday. After being referred to the court, he is arrested again.
HDP Diyarbakir MP İdris Baluken was released on January 30, but the prosecutor's office objected to the decision. On February 15, an arrest warrant was issued against Baluken.
Yesterday (February 21), he was detained in Ankara. Attending the hearing in Diyarbakir High Penal Court through video call, İdris Baluken is arrested again.
İdris Baluken was released provisionally. Chief Public Prosecutor stated that given the classification and quality of the alleged crime, he should be arrested again. The court ruled to arrest Baluken on the ground of strong criminal suspicion. He is charged with “being a member of an armed terrorist organization”.
