Detention break to Dink case

Suspect Ali Fuat Yılmazer’s two daughters were detained yesterday. Fatma Saadet Yılmazer, also Ali Fuat Yılmazer’s lawyer, and his other daughter Rabi Yılmazer were detained yesterday. 

The news of detention was received after the lunch break. Dink family’s lawyer Hakan Bakırcıoğlu said that it is better to postpone the hearing given that Yılmazer’s daughters are detained and he is informed about this development.

On Tuesday, Ali Fuat Yılmazer and Chief Judge Ali İhsan Horasan had an argument and Yılmazer said that he won’t continue presenting his defence. He also wanted his lawyer, who is also his daughter, to withdraw from the case. Istanbul Bar Association assigned a new lawyer to Yılmazer. Before the lunch break, Yılmazer hadn’t continued his defence, but answered the questions yesterday. He didn’t accept his statement to the prosecutor. He said, “I didn’t say those things.”

The hearings will continue on April 10, 11, 13 and 14.
