According to DNA analysis, the suicide bomber is Abdülbaki Sömer
According to Forensic Medicine Institution's DNA analysis, the perpetrator of Ankara bombing, which took place on February 17 and killed 28 people, is Abdülbaki Sömer.
After TAK's statement, Abdülbaki Sömer's father Musa Sömer was detained and DNA sample was taken from him. In the analysis, it is determined that DNA samples match. According to Alican Uludağ's report in Cumhuriyet newspaper, DNA analysis revealed that the suicide bomber is Abdülbaki Sömer.
Government spokesman Numan Kurtulmuş made a statement about Ankara bombing after the cabinet meeting.
The government declared that the suicide bomber is Salih Neccar. Kurtulmuş spoke about the result of the DNA analysis and said, “A different name doesn't change the situation.”
TAK claimed the attack and declared that the suicide bomber is Abdülbaki Sönmez. On the other hand, Prime Minister Davutoğlu claimed that the suicide bomber is Salih Neccar and President Erdoğan stated that they have evidences.
Kurtulmuş: the suicide bomber is a PYD member
Government spokesman Numan Kurtulmuş said: “A different name doesn't change the situation. This person entered from PYD region and was registered in accordance with the ID card that he provided.”
Kurtulmuş also said, “This was the information we had. The name of this person falls into the prosecutor's area of responsibility. However, it is obvious that this person entered from PYD region.”
On February 19, TAK claimed the attack and declared that the suicide bomber is Abdülbaki Sönmez who was born in Van in 1992. TAK also made a statement: “This attack is done for avenging our people who were brutally killed in a basement in Cizre.”
