165-years-old Armenian inscription found in Harput
In an excavation work in Harput province of Elazığ, a 165-years-old Armenian inscription is found. It is thought to be a tombstone and deciphering works continue.

Turkish, English and Kurdish is ok, but no Armenian
At the entrance of Tuzluca province of Iğdır, there was a sign that reads “Welcome” and “Good bye” in Turkish, English, Kurdish and Armenian. Now, the Armenian part is removed.

Undergraduate education in Syriac will be launched, and Armenian is next
After the MA program in Syriac Language and Literature that Mardin Artuklu University has been offering for six years now, preparations for launching an undergraduate program in Syriac Language and Literature within the Faculty of Arts were started. The next step is to launch departments of Armenian Language and Literature and Hebrew Language and Literature.
