Prime Minister's statement on genocide: a common incident
Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım made a statement to the press about the Armenian Genocide resolution of Bundestag: “This voting is nonsense. This is a common incident that happened in every country and it happened in 1915 in Turkey, under the conditions of World War I.”

The content of the genocide resolution determined
The Armenian Genocide resolution that will be discussed in Bundestag on June 2 is titled as “Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide against Armenians and other Christian Minorities in 1915-1916 in Ottoman Empire”. In the resolution, the term “genocide” is openly used and the responsibility of the German Reich is pointed out.

Prison sentence because of call for "Armenian hunting"
Garo Paylan had filed a lawsuit against Tolga Adıgüzel, who is the chair of Kars branch of a Turkish nationalist organization, because of his racist statements about pianist Tigran Hamasyan who performed at Ani last year. Adıgüzel is sentenced to 7 months and 15 days of imprisonment and imposed a 11.240 TL fine. The judgment is suspended.

Council of State demands plea from Prime Minister's Office about Sur
The objection against the urgent expropriation in Sur filed by Diyarbakir Bar Association Deputy Chair Ahmet Özmen is taken in the scope of urgent trial procedure by Chamber 6 of the Council of State. The Council of State demanded a plea and the documents about expropriation from Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning within 15 days.

348 votes in favor of the plan to lift the parliamentary immunity
AKP-initiated constitutional amendment for changing the Article 83 on the immunity of MPs is supported by 348 lawmakers in the 550-seat Turkish parliament. Second round of voting will be held on Friday.

UN's call about Cizre: allow independent investigation
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein made a call to Turkish government for allowing independent investigation on the grave human rights violations happened in the regions under curfew. Hussein stated that “the most worrisome” reports are the ones claiming that 100 people were burned to death in the basements in Cizre.

Demirtaş: people can form more than one parliament, if they want
HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş spoke about the lifting of the parliamentary immunity: “They will try to bring some of our MPs to the court, which became AKP's law committee, and lynch them. Do they think that we will keep silent? We won't let you to prosecute us in the courts that are dependent on you. None of our friends will go to police, prosecutor or court, when they are called to give statement.”

Today, public officials who are responsible for Dink murder are being heard. Before the trial, Friends of Hrant made a statement to the press.
